Yeah my homeboy Ruben is like my older brother. Ruben is 22 years old and he's always been there for me no matter what, through hard and rough times. I met him when I was 12 years old, so we've known each other for a really long time. Over The Long Weekend

Over the long weekend I hung out with my family and hung out with my mentor. On Saturday I went to Portland with my sister's family to go shopping. Sunday I went to church in the morning then after church I hung out with my girl. Monday I spent most of my time arguing with my girl about some problems that are going on between us. My Opinion on Secret Life Of Bees

I don't like this book because it is really confusing for me. I like books that are easy to understand and this book is hard for me to understand. I also don't really like this book because it goes from one thing to another, and I like books that just go straight through.

I do not remember who the characters are and what they are like. I do pay attention when you read it's just that its hard for me to keep all the information in my head so I don't remember anything.

Honey Bees

1.They make plenty of honey so they will have plenty of food for times when flower nectar is unavailable, such as winter.

She writes differently than I would. If i were to write a story explaing how my house looks i wouldn't write exactly everything, I would just write the important things people want to know about the house. I would use different words. I wouldn't use so much detail like she did.

My homeboy Ruben is a funny person. Every time we are kicking it he's always cracking some really funny jokes. I don't think there is ever really a time when he can be serious. He is a caring person. Civil Rights Movement

MY STORY

It was the middle of the night and suddenly I remembered that I forgot to lock the front door, so I got out of bed and went to lock the door, and after I locked it i went back to bed but i could sleep so I got back out of bed and turned on the t.v and watched t.v for awhile. The Ten o'clock.

20 YEARS TO MY AGE...

Hi, my name is Jesse Plata. I am 38 years old and I live with my wife and my 4 children. I have 2 boys and 2 girls. The ages are 3, 9, 12, and 15. Their names are Mario, Jose, Veronica, and Daisy. We are currently living in a 3 story house in San Diego California. We live in a really good neighborhood. I have my own buisness. I own a tattoo shop here in San Diego California called MR.PLATA'S TATTOOING. I drive a convertable, black 63 impala. That's the car I drive on the weekends when it's a hot day and the sun is out. I have a white Hummer that I drive to work in and that the family and I drive around in. I also volunteer at a boys home for kids that can't stay out of trouble on the streets. I go there on the weekends to help out with the boys that are in the home. I just talk with them and try to tell them that there's something better to do out there than go do what they did that landed them in that home. I have a lot of friends here in San Diego and also in Pomona. Most of my friends have jobs and don't do drugs. But there are a couple of them that are out there doing drugs and committing crimes, but those are the ones I try stay away from.

MY SUPER POWER

The one super power I would like to have is to be able to make the rules on my probation agreement. I would like to have this power because on the probation agreement I would be able to put easy rules for myself instead of my probation officer putting lots of rules that I don't like to follow. My life would be way better because I would be able to do what I want instead of worrying about going by my P.O's rules. I can go by my own rules.

This I Believe

I believe that family is important. Family should always be there for each other no matter what. There was a situation in the past that made me realize that family is important.

I remember the day when I got jumped into a gang. A couple of my cousins didn't like me because they were from the opposite gang I was in. Both gangs were rivals, so we didn't talk. I remember one day when I was walking down Lancaster a car full of rival gang members pulled up on me, hopped out of the car with bats, knives, and crow bars and started chasing me towards Market Street where some of my cousins live. I ran over there and when I got there, they asked me why I was going to their house when we didn't get along. I told them what had happened and they said, "I know we're from rival gangs but I think it's about time we act like real family and stop letting all this gang crap get in the middle of us," and so after we were done talking we went to go look for the guys who tried to run up on me. After all that was done we started getting along.

So that is why I think family is important because they will always be there for you no matter what. There are a lot of people that don't get along with somebody from their family, but that doesn't last very long because after awhile they will get over all that hate and start getting along again. They know that they can't hate each other forever since they're family.

A couple nights ago when I was watching the news they were talking about a 8 year old girl that was missing in Tracy, California. They found her body chopped up in pieces in a duffle bag. I think it's really messed up how somebody would do that to a little girl.

IF THERE WERE NO LAW

If there were no laws I think there would be more things popping off on the streets. I also think if there were no laws people wouldn't care about anything anymore. They would just start going crazy and doing all kinds of bad things. Like killing people, raping people, breaking into houses, and the death rate would go up way higher.

Spring Break

My spring break was good I went to a concert of LiL Rob, Kilo, LiL One, Gemini, and Kid Frost it was really fun. I also hung out with my family and spent alot of time with them. My perfect world is a world that has no laws and doesn't have any cops. My perfect world would not have any laws on marijuna. I would want marijuana legalized. When people would walk around in this world they would not see any police. They would see people who just walk around and hang out, and everybody getting along. I dont think it's right for immigration to try to keep people from Mexico from coming to Oregon. I think they should have the right to come to Oregon if they want to as long as they don't come down here to cause trouble. But if a family wants to come to Oregon to live a better life then I think they should have the right to. No matter what, they could make all these laws about immigration, but they can't stop and won't stop Mexicanos from coming to Oregon.

Touching Spirit Bear Book Report

The name of the book I read is called Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen. The book is about a kid named Cole who has anger problems and beats up a kid from school named Peter. Then Cole was sent to an island by himself. I thought the book was good because there's a lot of action, it's a thrilling book, and I also like it because it's one of those types of books where you just can't wait to see what's gonna happen next. Yes I would reccomend it to others. I would reccomend it to teens that are on probation because that way they can see that just because you dislike somebody doesn't mean you should take your anger out on them and hurt them, and instead he could have dealt with it in a better way.

One thing you don't know about me.

The one thing you don't know about me is that I been on probation for 6 years since I was 12. I've been on it a long time because i would always be causing trouble like getting in fights, go tagging, run from programs, and smoke too much weed. But then in August when I got locked up for running from a program and going tagging while I was on the run, I was sent to detention for 3 months.The judge had told me I was gonna go to macClaren until I was 21 and when I heard that I started taking things more seriously because I didn't wanna be locked up anymore. I was tired of it. But the good thing was that my mom hired a good attorney and he talked my probation officer out of sendin me to macClaren. So instead my probation officer just sent me to live with my sister because he knew it wasnt a good idea for me to move into the neighbor hood that my mom lives in.After I got out in October I have been doing really good. I havent smoked drugs, have not drank,I'm going to school, passing drug tests and haven't been in detention since I've been out.

The one thing that I would keep if I had to give away everthing would be my books. I would keep my books because they help me disappear into another world. I love to read and forget about all my problems for awhile. I like to curl up with a blanket. I like to turn on some music, and I like to read for hours. The reason I chose this picture was because here in Salem we got a lot of bums that are homeless and don't have anything. Most of them stay in shelters but the shelters get full fast so some bums get stuck sleeping outside in parks or under bridges. The reason I think we have a lot of bums here in Salem is because a lot of them get hooked on drugs, and then they start losing everything they have.

The one time I got angry was this last halloween. Winter Break

For christmas me and my family went to Mt.Angel to spend time with all of the family and open presents. It was alot of fun. For new years I went to a party and kicked it with some people, that was also fun.
The only part that I didn"t like over winter break was all that snow we had here in Salem. I thought it was interesting how much snow we got. From what i heard that was the most snow we got in a couple years. All of my family enjoyed the snow but I didn't like it ecause it stopped me from doing things that i needed to do.
